Damen Marine Components
The well-known company Van de Giessen Nozzles has merged with Gdansk Engineering Works in 2005. Both companies, members of Damen Shipyards Group, are involved in the manufacturing of marine components such as nozzles, stern tubes, rudder trunks, steel constructions, etc. The Van de Giessen nozzles type Optima, VG 40 and Wing and the range of conventional Van de Giessen nozzles will continue to be produced under the current make Van de Giessen.
 
Damen Marine Components is located in Hardinxveld-Giessendam in the former offices of Van de Giessen Nozzles.
Sales activities will take place from this location as well as the control and support of the production locations in Poland, Romania and China In 2006 a new production location started in China, called Damen Marine Components Suzhou Ltd.

Schelde Gears has more then 85 years of experience in the design of marine propulsion gears for naval and commercial application. Over the years, nearly 400 naval and merchant ships fitted with diesel engines, gas or steam turbines, electric motors or complex combined propulsion system have been equipped with propulsion gears designed by Schelde Gears. Schelde Gears provides support and problem solving for all technical and commercial aspects of gears and other running equipment.

The engineering services of Schelde Gears range from straightforward calculation and consulting services to complete gear designs for manufacturing under license. In addition Schelde Gears is specialised in vibration measurements and analysis, propulsion alignment, failure analysis, gear expertise and repairs. Schelde Gears also provides spare parts for gears ranging from simple instrumentation parts to complete gearwheels, bearing sets and shafts.

The activities of Schelde Marine Services are concentrated on the purchase, logistics and sales of engine room-related spare parts and technical services.
