DAMEN enjoys an excellent history in maritime innovations. Our group would not have reached this standing without the all-out efforts of our team of researchers, dedicated to examining the operational behaviour and performance of vessels.

Our computer models are validated continuously through the actual test and measurement on one of our vessels made in-house. Moreover we are often consulted on issues such as noise, vibrations, fatigue, bollard pull and speed predictions. In the various procedures we cooperate closely with Marine Research Institutes and Universities and Institutes of Technology: a mutually beneficial transfer of knowledge and skills. Research into new construction material has frequently resulted in applications regarded as innovative.
